James Rosenquist

1933 – 

James Rosenquist (b. 1933) was born in North Dakota and attended the Art Institute in Minneapolis. After graduating, in 1955 he moved to New York where he met other famous Pop Art artists such as Robert Indiana, Claes Oldenburg and Robert Rauschenberg. His first famous piece was a large painting titled F-111. Shortly after this, he started producing prints, one of which, Time Dust, is supposed to be the largest print in the world. Since then, his works have been exhibited worldwide and can be found internationally at modern art museums.
