At the beginning of his artistic career, Jean Mehdi Grangeon quickly discovered the power of Renaissance art and began to develop his own style mixing the influences of painters like Piero della Francesca, Bellini and Ucello with modern art references like De Chirico, Millares or Muybridge. He spent one year in Paris where he participated in the Salon d’Automne 2002 and became a finalist in the youngest artist category. After this first success, he decided to pursue his career in New York City where he installed his new studio in the heart of the Williamsburg art community. Since moving to New York in 2002, his work has been shown is many different places both in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
